Re: Memory problems

How bout being in the shower and, as you suds up your body, you're trying to remember if you've washed your hair already, even tho you know you USually do it first and so if you're now sudsing up your BODy...that SHOULD mean you've PROBably already DONE your hair already...but...You're not positive...so you decided to wash your hair, just in case...in mid-suds you can remember scrubbing behind your ears already and sigh *tsk* I did this already...so you rinse but

...you just proceed to (re)wash your body and don't remember you've done IT already til you get down to your TOES and say, "Hey, I've been down here already!" ROTFL Oh I do this SO often. Hey, I'm squeaky clean, anyway. LOLOL

attn barbara/degenerative disc disease?

2007-04-30 17:31:32

Barbara,

Hope you don't mind me asking, but can you tell me about degenerative disc disease? SOMEthing is WRONG with mah spine ... a dr had done tests for "Degenerative Spinal Arthritis" is that the same thing as what you mentioned? They did xrays then too and the nurse said there was "narrowing between the discs" but she shrugged it off. Besides scoliosis, the only other thing mentioned from the xrays (by my rheumetologist, not the dr or nurse) was (let's see if I can spell this LOL) spondololythesis? sometin' like dat. The test came back negative for the DSA (my own abbreviation LOL.) I'm at a new doctor now and when I go back on July 3, I'm going to be asking for him to help me find the cause and hopefully some relief from my spinal pain. (and my pain med touches it not). It really seems to be separate from my FMS or MPS. It feels like it's in my spine, not my muscles, tho they're messed up too back there but this particular 'thing' is the spine. It's frustrating to have to try
to explain things to drs, isn't it? (or anyone else) LOL reminds me of the midas commercials (are they still on TV? I haven't had a TV in 5 years, so I dunno but anyway...) when people would try to make the sounds their troubled cars were making. LOL

A new choice of Stimulator

2007-04-30 11:21:45

Hi all,
There is a new brand of stimulator called Advanced Bionics, it is
externally recharchable. This is the stimulator I am going to have
placed inside me at the end of October. The great thing about this
device is a patitent does not have to sacrifice stimulation power
due to battery limitations. The two other makers of stimulators are
not for me because of the high level of stimulation needed for me,
the life of them may be only one to two years. The advanced Bionic
device will last five years. www.advancedbionics.com
Anyways, I thought this might be of usefull information for you all
to see.
I hope all is well or getting better for everyone.
Have a nice day!!
David

Re: ThornsonMyRoses prayer for everyone

2007-04-29 15:54:01

Thank you Christy --- all prayers are needed and appreciated. You're so
right when you say that living with constant pain, no matter the source, can
cause any other problems, whether physical or mental, to seem even worse
than they are. You'd think we'd get used to it, wouldn't you? (G) I go
back to my dr. in Memphis next Friday - I know there's nothing more they can
do to relieve the pain, and I know it's just the usual 3 month visit, but I
always pray something new will be developed or a new symptom may lead them
to investigate further into my pain. My pain is nothing compared to those
of you with FMS, MS, etc. and I admire so much your tolerance and ability
to keep on keeping on everyday. I have osteoporosis, degenerative disc
disease, osteoarthritis, etc. and am never without pain. Lately the stress
of all this has led to flares of diverticulitis which, I'm sure some of you
know, is NOT a pleasant thing to endure (G). You certainly don't venture
far from home (LOL).
I do appreciate the kind thoughts and prayers. And I thank God for this
group of gals who keep me humble (G). Your pains and sorrows are so much
more than mine, yet you all manage to keep a good outlook on life and a
smile on your faces. Take care, each of you, and know your appreciated and
prayed for.

Re: [Stimulator] Mike M - Stimulator battery

2007-04-29 07:39:52

Mike
I was wondering where you heard that Medtronic's rechargeable battery
was approved? I have been trying to find information on it but have
been unsuccessful. Then when I was on the phone with medtronics today
trying to donate one of my many extra remotes. (They give me new a new
remote every time I have the battery changed or a new device put in.) I
asked the representatives on the phone about Medtronic's rechargeable
battery and they told me it hasn't be approved yet and they don't know
when it will. When I mentioned the rechargeable battery to my doctor
he told me about this company advanced bionics that came out with a scs
with the first ever rechargeable battery.
Thanks

I often think of the strength that Mary and Joseph both must have had. They
lived in a different society than we do and its easy to forget that back then
being pregnant and unwed was a serious social offense! Now its so common I
think sometimes that gets lost. Think about how Mary must have felt knowing
she didnt "do" anything with any man but there she is pregnant and I am sure
putting up with comments, and looks from others. And Joseph, taking on this
pregnant woman who he was not married to and walking around with her knowing
what others were thinking and whispering behind their backs and most probably
to their faces as well. Not only that but Mary was dealing with the pains
and physical progression of pregnancy and was put in a position where she had
to give birth to her first born with no support or help from her family. I
think how terrified I would have been going into labor with my first baby,
not really knowing what to expect and the pain coming on me without my Mother
or anyone that has experience there to help. That is so beyond trust in the
Lord!!!! Wow is all I can think of to say when you really think of the
magnitude of what Mary and Joseph endured because God told them to and they
did it!

To Betty

2007-04-28 13:58:20

Hello Betty,
Well I bet it is beautiful sit to watch the lightening in the
mountains. I love Arizona!!! We used to go there every year many
years ago to Tucson to visit relatives. I of course can't remember
the place we ate at a few times but it where you are not allowed to
wear a tie. (All in fun of course) Where they make a big deal out
of it and come and cut it off of you. It was the best steak I have
ever had. We went 4 wheeling up to Cheva Falls and shotting too out
in the desert. Plus the veiw from A mountain was spectaular at
night!!! The first time we went up there our family told us not to
look back and when we got up there and he turned his truck around
the city lay before us and as if on cue a coyote howled in the
desert!!! It was awsome!!! Then we also went to the Cavern in
Mexico which I'm sure you have heard of it and maybe have even eaten
there in the Cave.
Of course a trip to Tucson isn't a true trip unless you visit Old
Tucson. Amazed that a part of the movie THE TEN COMMANDANTS was
made there. We did a lot of other things too!!! I have been to
Phoenix once to our National Speciality Dog Show for a week but
didn't have time to site see. Have driven through it going to Vegas
a few times after visiting the relatives in Tucson!!! Very
beautiful and so much different than Tucson.
I Love the mountains!!!
Glad to hear that Jim is coming along even though it is slow.
I hope your foot heals quickly and you don't have to go to another
Dr. for it.
It finally cooled down here and it is great!!! We turned off the
air and it even got cold last night with the fan in the window. Did
I just say cold after it being 98 and a 115 with the heat
index!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL!!! Today will be nice too and then back up
in the 90's again.
Father-in-law is having his cancer surgery on Fri so we will be at
the hospital all day with Dennis's mother as she doesn't drive. We
will have to take his car back to the house for him and take her
home. Dennis does his blood work today to re-check his Liver
function too. Hoping that will be back to near normal and or is at
least coming back down!!!
My attorney sent me a copy of a letter from the W/C attorney showing
me the letter they are sending to the hearing judge asking for a
dismissal of my claim!!! So I will probably get screwed out of my
W/C totally!!!
Yesterday afternoon my pain levels were back up yet again and the
pain was making me moan out loud it was so bad. It stayed that way
all evening and it is embarressing to myself and Dennis as we had to
go out to Home Depo to get a few things and as a person was helping
us I all of a sudden was going OHHHHHH!!! with a terrible look on my
face as the bone crushing pain hits my leg. Every bump in the road
made for a very painful ride home. A lot of times I have to get in
the back seat of the car as I can't stand to have the seat belt
going across my leg either or else I'm holding it up and off my
leg. Plus the pain in my groin makes it more painful to sit up
verses being able to lie back in a reclining position taking some
pressure off the groin area. I hope it is better tomorrow having to
sit at the hospital for hours through the 3 and 1/2 hour surgery
plus being there before he goes into surgery. Maybe the surgery
waiting room won't be too crowded and I can get a bit more
comfortable in there if need be. I guess if not I'll go lay in the
car and try and read or something.
Hope everyone is feeling better.
Soft Hugs

Dr. news

2007-04-28 02:47:55

I saw my Pain Mgmt. Dr. yesterday to get my pump refilled and my new RX's. He is most concerned about my continual numb right foot and toes. My toes are curled under now pretty much all the time This is an odd thing as I cannot feel the surface of my foot and part of my leg and you can stick needles in and I cannot feel it but I can feel the bones very well. Since the CT Myelogram was denied he said no this is a rush and I will call the Ins. Co myself personally as this can lead to complete loss of the use of your leg and it can cross over to the other side. There is a concern about numerous problems being caused all by my pump. Some are a cysts could have formed at the catheter tip, scar tissue, the catheter tip could have perforated the actual spinal canal, fluid accumulation at the catheter tip. the catheter tip could be free floating, the tissue could be eroding and he mentioned a few other things it could be. Therefore I most likely will have to have my pump
removed at least temporary. This could not have happened at a worse time for me with my pending doom about to be dealt to us this next week unless our friends friend comes through. So far he has not so I am not sure what I am going to do. I am heading back to bed as I do not feel well at all today.

Re: Stimulator battery

2007-04-27 11:10:28

---Dear Angie,
Hi As to your questions about the two different stimulators. I have
personally had both of them. I didn't care for the outside one cause
people knew you had a health condition. Although the reason why I have
an internal one is because the other one malfuctioned on me. I am four
months of the internal one without any major problems and I am pain
free and loving it for the first time in 8 years I can walk with out
pain and numbness. I have a history of back problems I had a tarlov
cyst decompressed and a teatherd spinal cord release done seven months
after that. I than two years later found out that from my neuro
surgeon that I have perment nerve damage. Which involves
numbnes, shooting pain, incontince. I had an ANS system that
malfuctioned had revisions done on leads which made four surgeries
with that system. Only one with Medtronic and it's been a wonderful
blessing.
I am glad that you are asking questions it's inportant. I would advise
you to see which company your insurance will cover and the cost on the
brands and call them and ask them questions also. I don't know if you
have seen the websites for them both. www.ans-medical.com or
www.medtronic.com www.tamethepain.com. I can't recall the company that
has come out with an internal recharge able battery I know that
medtronic is in the process of getting it fda approved it will take
them a year there's will be less than the one that has it now.
If there is anything that I can do just let me know or Mike. I will do
my best to help. I wish you the best of luck and hope that I have
helped some.

Paramedics will turn to a victim's cell phone for clues to that
person's identity. You can make their job *much* easier with a
simple idea that they are trying to get everyone to adopt: ICE.
ICE stands for In Case of Emergency. If you add an entry in the
contacts list in your cell phone under ICE, with the name and
phone no. of the person that the emergency services should call on
your behalf, you can save them a lot of time and have your loved
ones contacted quickly. It only takes a few moments of your time
to do. Paramedics know what ICE means and they look for it immediately.
ICE your cell phone NOW!

prayer for everyone

2007-04-26 01:05:09

I just felt moved to prayer for the individual prayer needs on the list. The
past few days it seems that even more than usual our sisters have been burdened
with fatigue, pain, depression, sorrow....living with chronic pain makes that a
constant, but it strikes me that it is more than usual. I would like to pray for
everyone individually, but, if I don't mention you by name, or know your
specific prayer need, please do not take offense. Please agree with me in
prayer, and if you keep a list, please add them.
Our dear heavenly Father, I lift my sister's in the Lord up in prayer to you. I
thank you for these sisters Lord. I thank you for using something like the
internet, that has the capacity to carry and promote nothing but evil as an
instrument of fellowship and encouragement. Father, I thank you for the trials
that each sister is undergoing right now. I thank you because I know you will
use it for good. I know it will make them stronger in their walk with you, that
you will carry them through and show your faithfullness once again to each of
us. I thank you for the new bodies we will one day receive, that will not know
physical pain or emotional troubles. I thank you for the days to come when we
will have no sorrow and we will all meet in your heavenly kingdom. I ask for
miraculous healing. I ask for a perfect peace to flow over them like warm oil.
I ask for your will to be done in their lives and that their lives might be a
reflection of their love for you. Father, our sister Chris has undergone knee
surgery, we ask for a quick healing, and for relief from her discomfort. Lord
we ask that the surgery will be successful in fixing the problem in her knees.
Father, we ask that you relieve Jaynes MS symptoms. That you would give her
healing and peace Father. That her upcoming surgery will relieve the muscle
spasms. Father, we also ask for Jayne that you bring Jennifer and Curtis home
safely and sooner than expected. That baby Hunter will be healed from his
stomach trouble, and that the drs will find a formula that will end his
tummyaches. For Lois, Father, we ask that the drs be wrong about her prognosis.
We ask for healing and restoration of her muscles and lungs. Father, please
grant Sheila peace in awaiting the specialist visit to find out whether or not
she has MS. May her symptoms be (only) FM. and may she be in a flare that
quickly ends, never to return. For Diane, we ask for relief and 'unlocking' of
her finger, that the wrist and hand pain be relieved. Father, please give Diane
a few hours of restorative sleep so that she may rest in you. Marcia is having
a rough time now Father, please grant her peace regarding Trixie. Father,
Trixie was your creation, I ask that she has been taken home to be with you and
that Marcia will see her again. Please relieve Marcia physical and emotional
pain Father. For Tammy's family we pray that their time together before her
husband leaves will be a wonderful time full of special memories to carry them
through his next absence. We ask for healing for her son. For Dina we also pray
for relief from FM symptoms. Let her rest Father, and we ask that her new
medication will work miraculously and without side effects. Father, I believe
Melanie is having recurring problems with her girl parts..please let her doctor
find what is wrong so that it can be fixed. Father, we thank you for leading
her to a program to cover her medical costs. We pray also for relief for
Michelle as she deals with with physical problems as well as early menopause.
We ask that the process be hastened. And for Karen Father, she hasn't been
feeling very well either and is doing so much to help her friend in need.
Please give her an extra portion of energy and restful sleep. Father, we pray
the her girls have success in raising the funds they need for camp. Father, I
just ask you to bless Lori. She has shown such compassion and genorosity to a
stranger. We ask that her migraines not return. Our prayers are also with
Dorothy and with Barbara, Father I don't know of any specific prayer needs, but
you know what they are. We agree with them in prayer. Father, also for Shirley
and Jane, and Jan. We do not know some of the other ladies as well, and do not
know their prayer needs either Father, but we pray for them anyway. Marilyn,
Collette, Gloria, Elaine, Joanne, Mary Lou, Roxanna, Maye Lynn, and Mary, we ask
that you give them peace. We ask that your love be abundant in all of our lives
Father, and that unsaved loved ones and friends might meet you through us. We
ask this in the name of your Son, Jesus Christ, who died to wash away our sins
so that we might pray directly to you. We love you Father, we give you the
glory and the praise. Amen.

bible study (two days in one)

2007-04-25 08:58:30

Luke 1:26-38 and 46-56
"Nothing is impossible with God".....do you believe? Do you live as if you
believe it?
Think of how you would tell the story to your bestfriend if you were Mary.
Unmaried (at a time when that meant virgin as well) and a teenager, telling
about the encounter with Gabriel.
What was Mary asked to believe?
What do we learn about Mary and her relationship with God? (verse 38)
How would you like your relationship to be more like Mary's?
How would what was going to happen complicate Mary's life?
How might she have responded to God?
How does Mary see herself as part of God's work in history as well as in the
future?
Why do think Mary was able to believe God for the impossible?
What steps do you need to take for your response to God and faith in God to
become more like that of Mary?
What faith she had! I am awestruck again (those of you have been on the list a
while have already heard me talk of this, but it bears mentioning again) by how
well someone in the bible (like Mary, Noah, Job, David......) knew the character
of God so well. They didn't have bibles like we do. I cannot fathom ever
getting to know God without a bible, let alone well enough to know His character
and being able to rely so faithfully on His word. We know in our hearts that
nothing is impossible with God....but, do we know it in our heads? Isn't it
hard to rationalize how a virgin became pregnant? I want to say that I have no
trouble believing God...but, I do. I get a lot of questions.... I would like to
know 'why', 'how', and I want to know all the contingency plans '...but, what
if...?' I want to be more like Mary in that way. Not to question, but to accept
God's will and plan for my life. To let God use me as His tool. To have my
plans and goals be only to fulfill His. Everyday, I must die to myself in order
for that to happen. My wishes need to get thrown out just let His plans in, so
that I can hear them. If I am so busy trying to be 'successful' in secular
terms, I won't even have time to listen to God's plans. Mary says that she will
be called 'blessed' among women. Blessed. Period. She is not to be worshipped,
prayed to, she is not a co-redeemer. She was God's tool, the vehicle to bring
the Son of God into fleshly existence. For a moment, I tried to imagine being in
Mary's place. Blessed? Her oldest son was to be crucified as a sacrificial
lamb, after being whipped, mocked and bruised and forced to carry a heavy wooden
cross. She was to stand by and watch. All Jesus needed to do to be spared was
to say that He was NOT the Messiah. She had to be remarkably strong in her
faith, for both the beginning and the end circumstances of Jesus' life.

Jim,
Hi, I'm Jaime. It is possible that some of your leads have migrated
from the place that they were originally placed. This IS possible,
and according to my doc, he said that it was the most likely thing to
check if you all of a sudden have pain where at one time you did
not. I hope this helps. This is easier said than done-- easy on the
motrin. If you need to increase the Lortab to one, say every 6 hrs,
and schedule 400mg ibuprofen to fall in between your Lortab dose, it
may help you from getting to a plateau. (I am a nurse, and that is
generally what we do in the hospital). Worse comes to worse, go to
the ER and see what the ER doc can give you to tide you over until
your doc comes back. Make an appointment immediately. Praying for
you!
Jaime

you are on my prayer list, as is your family. They just quite don't know how to

Hello again!

2007-04-24 08:16:33

Hi everyone!
Claudia, you have really been put through the ringer. I surely am
praying and certainly hope that it works. As for me, well, I am
actually worse since the trial and removal. They took my staples out
the 17th and now I feel like my skin is stretched to the limit. I no
longer have an appetite, and I am not quite sure why that is. I am
lucky to consume one meal a day. I have lost 6 lbs in 4 days. Good
for the waistline, bad because I still haven't figured it out. I
don't really have any energy, and my activity level has sadly
decreased from sitting to lying 85% of the day. They have increased
my Dilauded to 18 mg a day. So now all I am doing is waiting. My
doctor said that I have to pretty much max out on my meds before they
will let him do anything else. HEY GROUP-- this just in after I max
out my doc will be ready to try me on a new experimental drug called
Zirconitide--it comes from a poisonous snail. You inject the snail
toxen into the spine and it is supposed to provide a great deal of
relief. I am sooo tired of being a guinea pig, though. I just wish
that they could fix me instead of continuing to cover it up. But, I
am keeping my head high, and spirits higher. I continue to attend my
church regularly and refuse to give, as I hope all of you refuse to
give up as well. You all have become my lifeline to the outside
world, and it is soo nice to have friends like you all. I will try
to write again soon.
Love and prayers and gentle hugs to each one of you,
Jaime

Sherry,

It is starting to look an if this plan is not going to go. I completely disagree with you on the Lord. He has failed me badly and I have lost all faith in him as I have fought this fight over 3 yrs. and here we are going to lose all our personal possessions, dogs and all come Tuesday. I am sorry but God is a hypocrite in my eyes.

fibro fog, bible trivia quiz and chat

2007-04-23 10:58:29

I didn't post a bible trivia quiz this week, did I?
duh.....I will post one soo, but I gotta up the % to get a prize, it is obvious
to me that 50% is just a no brainer! It's just for fun, but I like to send
little 'goodies' in the mail...so, send the answers to me privately so as not to
give it a way!
Avery had threw a fit (a rage is more accurate) last night. I am exhausted
today! No one got to bed until after one AM. Rob and I didn't get to bed until
about 3. He and Dad are going to have to take a day or two and make it a 'this
is how you fill, spackel, sand, putty, and paint the holes in the walls.' And
of course, I have tension headache, and my muscles are tighter than usual. So,
I am taking a couple of Aleve (to start) and I am going to go take a nap.
I will post bible study later, and the one from yesterday as well.....(more
fibro fog I guess). I plan to be on-line for a while this evening, so I may
chat with some of you then. oh!!!! I think I found a chatroom set up I like. I
am trying it out.....then I will give you all the URL, okay?
talk at ya later!

get to do much for myself right now so if I dont' talk much give me a couple
more weeks and then my hubby goes back to Africa and my baby well he will
still be in school all week away from home. I don't have to like it just have
to accept it. God Bless, Tammy

Something is not right

2007-04-22 21:32:05

I am so glad I came across this group. I had a stimulator implanted
about 8 years ago. It has been working fine until almost two weeks
ago. I came home from two hour drive and must have twisted wrong
getting out of the car. I did not feel anything until the next day. I
am fine when I am lying or sitting. But getting up is UNBEARABLE.
Worse then my original injury 14 years ago. I have my stimulator set
as high as I can stand it and the pain is still horrible. And of
course both my neuro-surgeon and GP are both out of town. Does anyone
know..could the stimulator not helping be because of a possible disc
hernation above the original? How can I ease the pain till I get to
the Drs 3 days from now. I have been taking 800mg of Motrin twice a
day with a loratab 10mg between that and Flexeril every 8hours. It
will soon be two weeks. I am going out of my mind! Thanks for this
wonderful group!! Jim

Re: Prayer Partner Needed

2007-04-22 12:29:11

I had a thought as I was reading responses to your post. When I get down or
feel oppressed by Satan I remind myself that the battle has already been won,
I remind Satan that he might as well just go away because I have my salvation
and NOTHING can take that away, not fear, sadness, moments of weakness (that
we all have), not anything...I am the Lords now and forever. Sometimes I
even yell at Satan to go away its a done deal so he can move on : )
Just try to remember that no matter what, the battle has been fought and won
and there is not one single thing that Satan can do to "get" your soul. He
may try to discourage you in your walk with Jesus but he isnt going to gain a
thing by doing it in the long run. I would offer to be your prayer partner
but honestly I dont feel I could be very effective for you right now as I am
struggling as well and that wouldnt be fair to you but remember you are in my
prayers as are all of you on the list and I will pray that you find just the
encouragement and strength you need.

Anyone without insurance....

2007-04-22 08:52:37

Anyone that doesnt have insurance coverage, even if you do have medical
assistance but struggle with co-pays should check with their local hospitals.
We have a program here called Community Care through Bellin Hospital (one of
our local hospitals) and the other 2 hospitals in Green Bay also have similar
programs. All you have to do is call the billing department of the hospitals
and see if they have some form of care available for low income families.
Hospitals, in order to get certain tax breaks have to write off a percentage
of the care the provide to the community. Here we had to send in
verification of our income and they decided based on that what percentage of
our care would be covered, since I stay at home and we are a family of 5 we
quailified to have 100% of our care covered. It also includes not only the
hospital but any other facilities or doctors that are affiliated with the
hospital so my gyn, my regular doctor and most other services are covered. I
found out about this when I had to have surgery and I didnt have insurance.
They dont usually advertise this service because they dont want to be
overwhelmed with people applying but they suggested it to me because I had to
have the surgery. Try it and see, cant hurt to check it out, I hope this
helps someone : )

RE: Some relief, perhaps?

2007-04-22 03:16:43

Wendy,
Thanks for the support. You are right. It is the doctor's
preference regarding the staple issue. It is also dependant upon
where the stimulator will be placed. Generally speaking, the lower
in the back you go the higher your chances are for staples. Other
factors include weight, patient's activity, etc. He placed my
staples because the incision was in the sacral area. Thus, when you
sit, you place a great deal of strain in this area, hence the need
for staples. I really didn't mean to freak everyone out with me
saying that I had staples. I hope everyone reads this and can
breathe a sigh of relief! :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)
Praying for you all!
Prayers and hugs,
Jaime

Re: [lifelineforrsders] To Sheree

2007-04-21 07:59:50

Sheree,

You always say the nicest things to me and I so much appreciate them especially right now. You are so right on about the churches we too live in Bible belt here and I was raised Methodist then later converted to Catholic. My daughter's went to Baptist then Christian high school and the youngest graduated from an Assembly of God school but school was all denominations. I have run the route and I consider myself a good Christian and have no problems at all with any other religions. However, when I have donated and contributed so much money and more to some of these churches even when I was not a member of and then to go yrs. later looking for something as simple as a shower and be turned away I am not happy and will never set foot back in that church again. If they wish to be like that they can also answer to God later down the road. Makes me think of the cartoon I saw of the couple who answered the door naked when the Jehovah Witness' came calling LOL. Their comment
was maybe they will not come back, LOL. I liked it so much I printed it out. Sounds like something I would want to do to these others, LOL. I got an interesting email from an old friend today (yesterday) evidentially he put out some feelers to some people he knows trying to come up with a game plan and in he weights with this interesting email to me. He has spoken to a friend of his who is wealthy trying to figure out a way to purchase our land immediately and leave us here as caretakers or to give us like 25 acres to live on and take the rest and then I have no idea but they can turn around and resell it for a small fortune if they have the time. If they price it right it would go fast. Unfortunately we did not have that as an option as it was just in the past 3 mos. that the land values sky rocketed again here and we only found out about it a month ago and we could not afford a real appraisal for resale. What we are trying to look at with our friend and his friend is
this. They are interested in buying the land if the price is right. We can do that if they can pay cash within 30 days. The other deal is for them to buy it all and leave us here on like 25 acres for free as caretakers. I am not real sure how all of this can or will work but at least there is a sun trying to peek out. Problem is we must contact the Land Co. Atty by Thurs. PM to put a deal on the table to back them off. They will back off once they all find out what is at stake and if we have money to back us up. Now one other deal was this the friend would loan us plus interest the money to pay it current and then to file the lawsuit against the Land Co. We in turn would pay them back plus a handsome interest for the use of their money. The 2004 Interest Stmt. alone is $250/day ea. day past 1/31/05 plus Atty. fee's. Then we have them on forgery of a contract and fraud plus more. So we could turn this around but it takes some money now to do so and we flat have not
had it. I also threw to them make us an offer we can live with as no good offer can be refused but we do need a place to live. I had quite the morning Monday with phone calls. I was not a happy person to say the least as I spoke to the woman who my Senator put me in touch with to help me on my Work Comp Appeal and boy did I give her an ear full. I then apologized to her as I was so upset over life and all the failures we are now being dealt. After her it was the Senior staff person at the Senator's office. Then I was on a roll so I started calling numerous Atty's to see if I could find one to take my Appeal into District Court. LOL I got some of the most bizarre offers and here again large chunks of money were asked for as I laughed and said OK sorry and hug up. Then to boot it all my Pain Dr. has done it again he left my RX no signature and I am out of Zoloft and Demerol and Soma but at least I called before making that drive there only to go back Wed. to get my pump
refilled. I tell you this Dr. should be shot. What gets me is no Atty. wants to get involved in that either. So I give up on the legal system it is broke and not 1 politician wants anything to do with fixing it to make it right. Then my next adventure was quite fun as I make up my email about my Work Comp. situation and me being both the Employer and the Injured Worker and I sent it to over 20 news stations all over everywhere. I do not think these people I wrote about are going to like the truth be told if it goes public. My basic point was how the state offices are allowing gross errors to be contained in legal documents and not even making any corrections to any and many are causing Injured Workers much detriment and I have proof positive of all of this in writing. So we shall see. I CCed it to VP Dick Cheney and Pres. Bush plus the TX Governor as well as my Senator I want them to see I am dead serious on this and I am not going away as long as I can hang on which
might not be long who knows. OK I must go I have been eaten alive by mosquitoes and now my feet are eaten by ants so I must go medicate these itches before I scratch myself raw. Take care and call me soon like Thurs or after anytime in the afternoon to late evening is fine we do not usually go to bed until after 1 or 2 am CST earliest LOL. Tomorrow I have an Interview with Social Security finally. They already have my application and have had it for a good while now.

My OB doctor is getting ready to get booted
if he doesn't get on the ball, all he is interested in telling me is that I
am overweight! I wonder if he thought I didn't know!!
I dont know if its in general but I have had a lot of trouble with GYN's.
When I got my cyst diagnosed by my regular doctor he referred me to a gyn for
surgery to remove it, well when the cyst came back 2 weeks after the surgery
I went right to the gyn and he actually told me to just take the pill and
wait 3 months and see if it worked! I got my tubes tied because I was at
risk to be on the pill (had a blood clot in my lung 3 yrs ago) and having
babies comes waaaay to easy for me but carrying them is most difficult yet he
wants me to take the pill??? So I nicely told him that I would wait in pain
(severe) daily for 3 months if I could come in and kick him in the stomach
randomly every day that he expects me to wait : ) he got the hint and
removed the ovary, sometimes you have to be tough with them. I think they
see so much that the get somewhat desensitized to real pain.

Hi there my friend, I know how confusing this all is. I remember when
my first stimulator had to be removed and what I went through and how
sick I became, I had to make the decision again if I wanted to go
through with it again.
It was the biggest decision and chance that I ever had to take.
I don't agree with the dr. telling you that the stimulator will put
your RSD into remission he has no way of knowing this. The only way to
know is to have the trial to see if it helps you. That is what is so
good about the trial. It is like testing a new car to see if you are
going to buy it.
I truly hope this treatment of the scs is the ticket for your pain
relief. The cream you are using sounds great. I never heard of it.
RSD takes away so much from us mentally and physically. You just hang
in there and things will find a way to work out.
I had no staples with any of my scs surgeries. My battery is implanted
under my arm and was sewed with stitches. I guess it all depends on
the dr's preference.
If you ever need to chat I am just a click away.

One song can spark a moment,

One tree can start a forest,
One bird can herald spring.
One smile begins a friendship,
One handclasp lifts a soul.
One star can guide a ship at sea,
One word can frame the goal.
One vote can change a nation,
One sunbeam lights a room.
One candle wipes out darkness,
One laugh will conquer gloom.
One step must start each journey,
One word must start each prayer.
One hope will raise our spirits,
One touch can show you care.

One heart can know it's true.
One life can make the difference,
You see it's up to you.

To my RSD sisters

2007-04-19 16:07:09

Well, it's a whole brand new week and we should enjoy it the best we
can. I know it's hard since almost everybody is suffering from the heat.
It's monsoon season here so the humidity is up as well as the temp. I
really love the light shows God provides in the evenings. I can sit out
there and watch the lightning for hours unless it gets too close and
then it's time to head for the hills. I went to the doc on friday to
see about that whatever it is on my foot. He has no clue except that it
may be some sort of infection so he gave me a really potent antibiotic
and some cream to rub on it because it's so painful to the touch. The
doc said if this doesn't work then we will have to send me to a
dermatologist but personally, I would think a podiatrist would be
better. Gonna have to talk about that one. Jim is slowly improving but
I think it will be a month at least before he can go back to work at
light duty. It'll probably be even longer than that. Sherry, keep us
posted about Dennis.
Love to All,
Betty

Re: [Stimulator] ~~Claudia~~

2007-04-19 12:46:49

Hi Wendy!!!
YOU must of KNOWN I needed YOU!!!! In need of a good friend right now...one in
the SAME BOAT! Wendy, I've been going out of my mind....ready to jump out of my
skin!!! It's soooo frustrating because I have soooo many doctors, sad part is
....I have NO IDEA of which one to call!!!! And, there is no freaking why I'm
stepping foot in an ER!!!! If my doctors can't get a grip on my condition, no
way am I letting a strange doctor touching me! Well, I finally convinced my
pain doctor to increase my Topamax....got that up to 150mg BID ...still trying
to adjust to it....having that hangover effect still and stupid as all get out!
My kids laugh at me when I go thru this phase! Then he wants me on
anti-depressants....not seeing eye to eye on that...he says that will decrease
the pain level...I'm saying I don't want to be a zombie. Plus, I haven't gotten
my appeal approved...still no $$$ coming in.....hard you know....don't want to
keep hitting up my family for more $$$ (I'm a single
parent) Then he mentioned that I may have to have another block if they dont
hurry up and do this trial!!! AHHHHH But he did order a special compound cream
for me to rub on my arms....yes arms because the burn and sting has travel into
my right arm and hands. Wendy it does seem to help.....It is specially for RSD
patients. Expensive as all get out!!! Let me write it out for you because it
is giving me relief believe it or not!!!!
Ketoprofen 20%/Ketamine 5%/Clonidine 0.2%/Amitriptyline 2@/Guiafensin 10%
Transdermal Gel.....It is specifically for Neuropathic pain ....Wendy....it's
works!
Okay, then I see my neuro on Wed......Girl......this man is good....I don't have
a complaint about that. This is my concern....especially since I just read
Jaime's posting!!!!! Wendy.....he tells me since he's ruled out the shoulder
and heart from being any problem.....confirmed it's definately RSD.......he's
sending me to his associate to do the trial....Then explains the procedure,
tells me that he wants me to be active in the time frame and then they will do
the implant. I ask him.....this will take away the swelling, the burn, the
sting, the temperature problem, the stiffness.....I will be able to use my
hand....I CAN GO BACK TO WORK, I WILL HAVE MY LIFE BACK! Wendy he stood there
and straight face tells me YES, I even had a patient that I had to take it out
because he wanted to lift weights. So I said, are you telling me that this will
go away?? He said....only with the stimulator.....YES it will go into
remission.
So I go to the psch today. we were suppose to start the pain management today.
I told him change of plans. I tell him about my two appts. Mainly the one with
the neuro because I have concerns because he told me I didn't need the pain
management sessions because once he does this stimulator I won't need the drugs
or anything. Well, doc is great, easy to talk to......he was okay with the
change of plans. So, after hearing all this...he says ....in other
words......you are basically preparing yourself for another disappointment. I
told him YES. Wendy, and then I read Jaime's posting. My heart is going out to
the poor girl and I'm wanting to talk to doc soooo bad and say see doc!!! Look
what they do to us!!!! What they dangle in our faces. I already told him
Wendy......I want to believe this doctor....but I don't think he realizes what
all I've been thru these past 2 years! I trusted in these doctors and I made
myself worse in letting them do that sympathectomy. GIRL, NEVER
let them do that to you!!!!!!!! Any way, doc did make me feel better by
telling me it wasn't my fault....I didn't know it was going to turn out this
way.....but I guess I should of gotten 2nd opinions or something, I should of
done more instead of letting the pain talk to me!!!!! Now, I've read what
they've done to Jaime....Wendy, did they do that to you????? This guy mentioned
nothing about staples!!!! Maybe because her's is lower than ours! He made this
sound like a piece of cake! And girl, I'm at the point once again where the
burn, sting, swelling, stiffness, and pain....is controlling my decision!
That's what is guiding me into this! I told my psych today....it would help me
soooo much if I could just talk to someone face to face that has one! I'm not
having that advantage!
So tell me...............HOW ARE YOU DOING!!!!
Big hugs right back!
Claudia
lee_campbell76 <lee_campbell76@...

refiner and purifier of silver

2007-04-19 04:52:14

Some time ago, a few ladies met in a certain city to read the scriptures, and make them the subject of conversation. While reading the third chapter of Malachi they came upon a remarkable expression in the third verse:
"And He shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver."
One lady's opinion was that is was intended to convey the view of the sanctifying influence of the grace of Christ. Then she proposed to visit a silversmith and report to them what he said on the subject.
She went accordingly and without telling the object of her errand, begged to know the process of refining silver, which he fully described to her.
"But Sir" she said, "do you sit while the work of refining is going on?"
"Oh, yes, madam," replied the silversmith; "I must sit with my eye steadily fixed on the furnace, for if the time necessary for refining be exceeded in the slightest degree, the silver will be injured." The lady at once saw the beauty, and comfort too, of the expression, "He shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver."
Christ sees it needful to put His children into a furnace; His eye is steadily intent on the work of purifying, and His wisdom and love are both engaged in the best manner for them. Their trials do not come at random; "the very hairs of your head are all numbered."
As the lady was leaving the shop, the silversmith called her back, and said he had forgotten to mention that the only way that he knows when the process of purifying is complete when he sees his own image reflected in the silver.

Sherry,

I am thinking you have no idea where I live. We live in a very extremely rural area in Texas. All the area churches are quite small indeed. When I got nowhere with them I started going to larger churches still nothing. I went to the ones also we had contributed to heavily in the past still not one thing was offered not even a place to take a hot shower. As to where my husband and I will live is in our car. We have no other options and no money. We cannot even afford to get some of our stuff stored so we will lose it all and I do mean all. The only reason I have been on the Internet is ion thanks to AOL providing me free AOL. We have been with AOL for about 16 yrs. now and at one time I was a part of the community leaders area. Therefore when I called them way back to turn off my AOL and they asked me why and I told them they provided us free service, DSL at that. I know all about animal rescues however, none in my area can accommodate Bradley at this time. He is
my full blood Rottweiler who will turn 11 on Aug. 17th. My Vet. can only keep him so long for free and it will not be long enough to keep him safe. Bottom line here is we have done it all and nothing has come from our attempts. Therefore we shall become homeless in a week and I will no longer be around sorry to say. I appreciate all the suggestions but we have done all of them already and nothing has worked out. So be it the system has failed us badly.

Well it is a sad state of affairs when you go to the church's and they
turn you down. I wonder is a smaller and more intimate church would
be more apt to help in some way???
Who knows now a days but I was just trying to help you out with
suggestions.
I am very sad to hear about your pets as I truly know how upsetting
that in itself can be. There are NO Kill shelters but of course I
have no idea where in your area they might be. Maybe finding a few
specific dog rescues site's on the net would provide you with an
answer to a No Kill Shelter? Maybe?
Of course worse than that is where are you and your hubby going???
I know it is very hard and we can only fight so long and so hard
before we cave in. I am still praying for you to find an answer some
where or some how!!! It is still with-in our Lords hands for what
ever reason and for what ever answers come your way!
I will pray you for you to have the faith and strenght of Jobe!!!
God Bless
Sherry

Update

2007-04-18 16:40:27

Hey guys!
Claudia, first of all, I know what it is like to be so strung out and
led along. Those doctors can be real buttheads. They may try you on
some Wellbutrin or even some Trazadone. Both of which I am on, but
the Wellbutrin is to help me lose weight. The Trazadone I take at
night and it helps me sleep (finally). Hang in there sweetie, I am
praying for you as well.
Now for my update: Unfortunately, it was a no go. They inserted the
stimulator and brought me out of conscious sedation and started
testing it out on me. It made the pain in my left foot feel better,
but reproduced (made worse) the pain in my right leg x 10. The doc
put me back under and tried to move the leads, and said that once the
unit was turned on to a level 2, I was literally coming up off the
table (and I was still under sedation). They brought me back out of
sedation again. Started asking me what I was feeling. I explained
to them that it felt as if I had razors runing down the length of my
leg there at the nerve site. The doc and the stimulator guy started
discussing it amongst themselves. Again, they tried a different sort
of lead placement and again the pain got worse. So they finally said
they were just going to take the thing out. So here I am now, 10
staples later, and my pain is worse than ever. I still have no
feeling below my right knee, and now the pain that was mainly in my
right leg and hip, and left foot now includes pain into my left
calf. I am so depressed. I was really counting on this thing to
work. I don't remember much after they said that they were going to
take the thing out, but I do remember laying there and crying, and
looking up at the doc and saying "now what". The blank expression on
his face said it all. The next day when I was getting ready to be
released from the hospital, he came in and told me that we would
discuss other options when I come back into the office for the staple
removal. He told me not to even think about anything, just to heal--
easier said than done. I hope and pray that I am the only one that
this happens to of the ones who are facing this insertion in the near
future. I surely would not wish this even on the devil.
Hugs and prayers,
Jaime

Sheree/ Cabin for the handicaped

2007-04-18 13:19:04

Sheree, when I went on my cruise, the info. provided stated it had cabins for the disabled, like 2 or 3, to let them know when booking if you needed a cabin for the handicapped. It never stated there was an extra charge for it. Did they charge you for your handicapped cabin?? Seems that should be against the law. Interesting information. Thanks for sharing. Love & huggs, Lynda

woke up fat....LOLOLOL I'm gonna try that one!

2007-04-18 01:06:05

Karnation I might just try that..tell the dr. that I was skinny when I went to
bed..wonder if he'll but it?!
I bet your doctor has been talking to my mother!!!
No matter what goes on in my life..it can be fixed if I were to 'lose a few
pounds'. First of all, a FEW pounds wouldn't even be noticeable!! I try
telling her that I am not ill because I'm fat...ooops, sorry. I am not allowed
to use the F word! I am not ill because I am voluptuous and Rubenesque. I am
Rubenesque because that is just how God made me! And there a LOT of good points
about being voluptuous and Rubenesque. All three of my kids can sit on my lap
at the same time. There's more of me to love. When you hug me, bones don't
poke you. Hubby never complains about me having a 'bony butt' when I sit on his
lap.....(maybe 'cause he can't speak or breathe...I dunno) Hubby likes to cuddle
'cause I'm a big soft pillow. People just assume I am a good cook and baker.

Dori, that was soo cute, one of the best I have seen, just loved it. Really explains why we are the way we are. LOL. So sorry Debbie to hear of your bad news, can u make them evict you from your home? Wouldn't that give u 2-3 more months to figure out a plan or get on disability or something? Hubby too? At least that way you two could afford a small apt. maybe in Houston and you'd have a roof over your head and maybe qualify for foodstamps. I know it's not where u want to live or the perfect solution, but it's a roof over your head. It would be close to your doc, when u get one, lol, but you will, soon. It would be a place to start over. Sheere, when are we going to hear about trip?? So, you would like to live there? I thought it would be too cold and damp. So glad you had a great time. Did u say u r driving?? Sherry, how is u r Mom doing? I've been meaning to call. Hope you daughter is better and hubby too. Teresa, hope you are feeling better too. Much love to all, will
write more later, Lynda

FMS and MS

2007-04-16 11:35:18

I did have an MRI. I kept changing doctors until I found one that would do
tests to rule other things out. I was told by several people (doctors, nurses,
pts. with MS) that my symptoms resembled early MS. I was just so thankful when
it was ruled out.
Sheila, we will keep praying that it isn't MS. It is in God's hands alone, and
whatever His will is, then that's what we want for you too. I know it is scarey,
especially not knowing what the future holds....BUT WE KNOW WHO HOLDS THE
FUTURE!!!!! There is nothing to fear Sheila, He will never leave your side, or
give you more than you can handle. That's a biblical promise.

Jaime,
My thoughts and prayers will be with you Friday!!!! And when you are feeling
well enough, please let me know how it goes!!! I see my neuro on 9-1 and I
guess he'll be sending me out to see the doctor that will be doing my trial.
Well, I finally broke down, was a long time coming. I was soooo embarrassed.
He gave me all these memory tests which I told him was unfair considering I was
in pain because the air conditioning was setting off my arm and I was on that
Topamax! Was that ever an ordeal! Stop laughing you guys! I felt soooo
stupid! My mind was drawing complete blanks!!! I kept telling him I don't like
your games here doc! Then, he said ONE more game here, it's a picture game of
hands. Here's me not thinking much about it! At first, I'm looking at these
pictures of hands saying that's a hand saying stop, pointing, fist, ooooo
monster hand..you know sometimes MY hand looks like that.....then he flips a
picture of a curled hand......and guys .....I just stared at that
picture and I couldn't say anything and he didn't help by ASKING me
questions!!! I just wanted to run out of the office! I just sat there and
stared at that picture of that curled hand! And then tears rolled down my face,
I couldn't stop them! He drew me out and I just started to vent about how I
trusted all those doctors to help me when they did the sympathectomy, was
suppose to stop the pain, burn, swelling and curl. Oh man guys, I let loose!
Then he showed me another one of a picture of a hand of when my hand goes into
spasms....I lost it again. I WAS A MESS! I was soooo embarrassed! Last card
was blank.....he told me to describe the perfect hand! Anyway, he told me I'm
on the verge of a break down....am I going to be able to hold out until the
doctors tend to me...if not...he'll inpatient me to mental ward. GUYS I have a
family to take care of!!! Doctors won't give me more pain meds...he said
because they are worried about liver damage, etc...so I'm going to tough
this out....I told him I have all you guys as my support system. He's going to
do some kind of psyco pain management whatever that is......ANY OF YOU know what
that is?????? He said I'm beyond hypnotising(sp). That's it for me for now!
Wendy, I got your hug, thanks soooo much really needed it! Jaime, this is scary
stuff, but we aren't left with too many other options huh? Girl, I have my
fingers and toes crossed here for ya!!!!!
blu_ridge_sweetie <hazzardfans@...
No one can blame you for being honest. That is what you are supposed
to do in these things. The reason they want to make sure that you
are of what they like to call "sound mind" (and, lol, there are few).
This is because in a condition such as PTSD (post traumatic stress
disorder) one makes a condition worse to get treatment in hopes that
the underlying psych problem can be nurtured. Had two years of psych
only to learn the most of those psychiatrists are on the meds
themselves after listening to everyone's problems, lol (joke). You
spoke the truth and you spoke your mind. Some doctors research your
insurance--which is highly illegal--and once the see what type of
treatments are covered and what the insurance will pay, they prolong
treatment just to line their pockets. You were right on that one.
You go! You need to make your goals of therapy clear:
a) pain relief
B) back to a sense of normalcy (if you can remember that)
c) and if this attempt at pain relief fails, you won't be totally
crushed--disappointed of course, but some actually tell the
Psychologist that they will "die if this doesn't work". They just
want to make sure the whole person is being treated, not only the
pain. This is a good thing. Hope all works out well. I am really
anticipating my trial date of Friday. Please all of you send prayers
to me!!
Fondly,
Jaime

Sherry,

No, this is not true. Before I go any further I want you to know I am not upset with you on this just merely pointing out a fact. My husband is heavy into Astrology and used to have a very nice expensive Telescope. This has already happened a few years back, it is not about to happen. In fact here is the update on this. This happened 2 years ago and is not about to happen again, sorry. Now there will be another nearby pass in October but not the same as the one in the email you are referring to. Please read this as it is not false it is just an old resurfaced message. My husband was fortunate enough to view this ion 2003 and got some fantastic pictures, but the message of this about to happen is false.

ANOTHER Close Encounter with Mars?
According to a forwarded email circulating for the past month or so, the planet Mars is due for an unprecedented close encounter with Earth this August when a wobble in its orbit brings the two planets closer together than they have been for thousands of years. "No one alive today will ever see this again," says the email â which is odd, considering that exactly the same thing happened two years ago.
Turns out, the email is a recycled message from 2003. Even so, it's not entirely false. Earth and Mars will pass very close to one another again in October (not August) 2005, astronomers say, at which time their orbits will be a mere 43 million miles apart (slightly more than the 35 million miles separating them in 2003). It won't quite equal the once-in-a-lifetime show of two years ago, but the enounter will be "breathtaking" nonetheless, scientists predict, with the red planet outshining every object in the night sky save Venus and the Moon. More from Space Guide Nick Greene...

Hi Stimulator friends,
I am excited for those that are going to have the trial and wish the
best of success with it. I pray for everyone in this group that there
pain would get better through having a stimulator. I have been blessed
with the stimulator that I have I am almost four months out of my
surgery and things are looking fantastic.
I do understand all of you wanting this to work for you because I have
gone through the same thing. If I didn't have the stimulator I
wouldn't be able to walk or function very well at all. I would have
ended up in a wheel chair and I did tell my doctor that he knew it
too. Please keep me informed in your process's from the trial, I like
to know how all of you are doing.

ovary and hormone problems/female problems

2007-04-15 10:50:07

Melanie....
I had polycystic ovarian syndrome...ever heard of it.....? I don't think many
people have actually...
main signs and symptoms....ovaries covered in small cysts, irregular menses,
infertility may be a problem, cramps, pelvic pain, imbalanced
hormones....increased facial hair, obesity, acne (especially around the
hairline, and throat) sounds very attractive doesn't it?..... I have no idea
why..but mostly women who are considered 'short' (5'4" and under I guess) are
said to have it, and there is a very high percentage of women who have it that
have had bulimia. No idea if this helps...dr. can do prolactin blood test, one
for testosterone, and even one to see if you do ovulate.
I have noticed that an awful lot of women with FMS have had female problems, and
often have had hysterectomies young. I don't think it is a coincidence.....but
who am I? :-)

Sherry,

It was not somuch it upwet me as I have 2 friends who have AIDS, so I am well intune to the situatrion yes. It is this very email is not true is all I was popinting out. This same email has been flaoting for years on the Internet. The thing I was saying when you get such stories you really should check them out to find out of they are ture or not. So many of these stories are in fact false. So in a separate email I placed several linkls to websites that are just for checking such stories out. I am not upset at you at all or that you sent the email out. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

Prayer Partners

2007-04-14 18:47:43

((((((Marcia))))))) (those are hugs)
Do you have IM? Feel free to beep me anytime....I am online quite a bit, and
late at night. (I am in northwest CA)...so, put me on your buddy list, and if
you see me online..go ahead and beep, no matter how late it is. (I have been
known to get so involved in my website building or such that I don't get to bed
until wee morning hours..like 5 or 6.) You are on my prayer list sister.
I AM looking for a chatroom setup that I like...so, now that we have more
members, maybe it will used more. The current one (at egroups) is just too
slow, and too much lag time, and is very frustrating to use.
I for one could definately use a prayer partner.....
anyone else? We could pair off, anyone that is interested. Just let the list
know that you are interested, or I can match partners up.....whatever you guys
think. Let me know your wishes.
If you want to tell the list a little about yourself, perhaps partners with
similar interests and age and so on would give more opportunity for
companionship as well.

Hello Ladies, I have been unable to post to the group for a while...my ring
finger on my right hand is still in a "locked" position and is causing pain
and numbness in my hand and wrist. I saw my rheumatologist yesterday and he
said is called "trigger finger"; he offered to inject my finger, wrist, and
shoulder with cortisone but I gracefully declined!! I am praying that the
oral steroids will kick in soon! He also told me he was leaving his practice
and I am devastated, his partner who had been my rheumatologist for six years
left the practice in March. This now means I have no rheumatologist and I am
concerned as my lupus and FMS has been in a pretty active flare since March.
My only alternative at this point is to drive into Boston to see another
rheumatologist but this is very difficult for me to do. I am not able to
drive the distance, which means my husband has to take the day off. Please
pray that the Lord will bring am qualified MD to my area. I am also
requesting prayer in regard to my flare. It has been going on for so long
now and I am exhausted...physically, emotionally, and spiritually. As so
many of you know with the FMS, lupus, and pain I am unable to sleep at night.
I am finding at this point nothing works...including most prescription meds.
Please keep me in your prayers...I would LOVE just one night of restorative
sleep!!!! I would greatly appreciate ANY sugggestions! The one blessing
that has come out of this is that I find the night time to be a great time to
study God's Word and spend time with Him, but still, I am so tired!!! I pray
for you all! In His love and service, Diane

I found a website you have to try!

I've been using a new website called NetFlip. It's a great search engine that
pays you cash for
searching the Web. Not only does NetFlip pay you for visiting websites, but it
also gives you cash
back when you make purchases. It even has a bunch of "fast cash" offers where
you could earn over $60.
You can earn even more by telling your friends and family about it! It only
took me 30 seconds to
sign up and I'm already making money. Don't wait, because for a limited time
they are giving
away $3 to each new member.

Dear Stimulator Group Friends,
I am pleased to see that our group is growing and that we are getting
new people. It's nice to hear from all of you from time to time I
enjoying getting to know you and finding out what your health is like.
I do understand to a degre what you all are going through. Please feel
free to write me at anytime. I promise I will reply back. I know that
in the past this topic was brought up and I was wondering if it would
be of interest to any of you. How do you all feel about a chat session
to have at least once a week. So that you can talk with one another
about the stimulator your concerns or just how you are doing in
general with a stimulator if you have one. I will email Mike and see
what he thinks also. I miss hearing from some of you that haven't
written in a while I hope that you will want to in the near future.
Please let me know if there is anything I or Mike can do thanks for
being a great support I appreciate each and everyone of you.
Hugs to all

Debbie,
Yes It is sad about how some children never grow up but I don't like
her a lot of days but I still love her and would die for her in a
heart beat. Thats a mother for you. I guess there is still always
hope and prayer which I do.
I'm glad to hear that your AC is fixed.
Good Luck with all the other and your land problems.
Soft Hugs
Sherry

Hello,
I am set to have the trial implantation on Friday 8/27. Can you give
me any and all information. Here is my background information. I am
a 26 soon to be 27 year old mother of one and wife of 5 years. I
have been a nurse since 1996, essentially jumping feet first into the
profession immediately after school. I love being a nurse and taking
care of patients. I love getting to know people and seeing them
recover from illnesses, and even help families cope with the loss of
a loved one. I like being on that side of the spectrum and
definitely not this one. I was assisting a co-worker with the
pulling of a patient up in bed almost 18 months ago. He was around
400#. Large, I know, but not the largest that I have assisted in. I
have done this many times in my life, but something was not meant
that day. I felt a pull in my back, and then numbness descending
down my legs. Thinking that it was a pulled muscle, I popped some
Motrin, and went on my day. Another hour, I was sure that this wa
